Lesson 7 : Attractive Extras


Ready for some useless but fun extras for your website?  To make a marquee like the one above, follow these steps:

  1. Place a <marquee> tag in the body section with a </marquee> ending and text in the middle.

  2. Indicate the direction by including direction = "right" within the opening tag, the default is left which requires no additional coding.

  3. Decide the behavior by placing a behavior = "slide" in the opening tag, you can choose between slide, alternate and the default scroll.

These add to the initial appeal of your page but probably get old after a while; I have demonstrated this with the incessantly changing title which has been moving back and forth the entire time you've been reading these directions.
